The accomplished missions dealt with coastal ecosystems management putting the stress on the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) concept. The following are among these studies :

   • Preparation of Tunisian country report on Integrated Coastal Zone Management ICZM within the Priority Action Program of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) (2004)

   • Participation in a study defining a project on the Protection of the Marine and Coastal Resources of the Gulf of Gabes (Tunisia) in order to request a Global Environmental Facility (GEF) funding (2002-2003)

   • Several technical assistance missions to the Coastline Preservation and Land-use Agency (APAL) on Korba, Maamoura et Tazerka lagoons and sebkha of Ariana

   • Elaboration of a scoping report on Tunis Gulf issues (2003)
