As a Hydraulic Engineer Graduate from the French National High School of Hydraulics of Grenoble 1975 (Polytechnic National Institute of Grenoble – France), Fadhel Ghariani has an extensive professional experience in public and private sectors.



1975 -1991 – Sixteen years in the National Sanitation Agency (ONAS) - 13 years of which, among the executive staff ; carrying out projects management and planning and public utility management.

1991-1994 - Team Leader and Project Manager (Senegal) for the Canal du Cayor project (240 km long for water supply and irrigation) directing the elaboration of the technical design, prequalification, tender documents and financial and economical analysis. Head of the Resident Mission in Senegal during two years.

Since 1994 Consultant - Managing director of IDEA (Ingénierie Développement Eau & Assainissement)
Performed many consultancies and technical assistance missions alone or in partnership with Tunisian and International consultancy firms for :
• Multilateral and bilateral support Agencies : World Bank, GTZ, UNDP, USAID, LUX-DEVELOPMENT, WHO, and
• government agencies in the environmental fields
